Update 4/30/05:
IT'S BEEN A WHILE
You may have noticed it's been quite a while since I posted anything. Well, the site's not dead; I just haven't posted anything. For the past few weeks, I've been working on the Katsucon report that I said I'd have done in 2 months (guess I missed that deadline). Any time I wanted to make a post, I figured I'd better work on that instead. It's been slow-going, and I'm getting in about a paragraph a day. Also, there was the whole new job thing, and for the two weeks of training, I actually focused on work, and intentionally didn't post anything or work on the Katsucon report during that time so as not to distract me. I might've posted something if I could post while at work, but I can't.
Well, the Katsucon report is still coming. I haven't abandoned it. I would say I'll have it finished by the end of the month, but I've been so demotivated lately, I can barely manage anything beyond sitting in a chair. Even sleep is too much to hope for (well, maybe I shouldn't be saying "even"). I'm still playing World of Warcraft for some reason. It got fun again when I started working because I didn't have as much time to play it, but lately it's lost it's glimmer again. I've been getting back into anime. Mai HiME is a pretty good show. Mahou Sensei Negima (Magical Teacher Negima, although in this sense, "mahou" refers to a magician, but it doesn't work in English too well that way) is also genuinely amusing. The other night I watched "To Kill A Mockingbird", which isn't an anime. The trouble with that movie is that it was based on a book, which inevitably means leaving a lot out, and also that it had a lot more impact when it was released, which doesn't translate over time as it should, and the movie wasn't made to transcend time.
I blame my recent apathy on my lack of ability to sleep well, which is my regular scapegoat for my life's problems. Ah well, it's now 8:00pm. Quittin' time! Oyasumi.
